Our Staff

Edward S. Goldstein — President and CEO

Joined his father Larry S. Goldstein in the management of Parkside Memorial Chapels in 1961. Ed graduated from Farleigh Dickenson University and New York University where he majored in advertising. Ed was a member of the Jewish Funeral Directors of America and was the Chairman of the Mortuary Scholarship Committee. He also worked very closely with the Orthodox Union and originated the O.U. Levaya Funeral program, a major community initiative which has enabled O.U. members to arrange for a dignified halachic Funeral in one phone call. Ed received the Orthodox Union Community Service Award in 2002. Ed is also a Member of the Workmen's Circle where he received an Award for his philanthropic efforts in 2006. He is also a Member of Congregation Kneses Tifereth Israel in Port Chester, New York and the Knights of Pythias where he was also honored at their 2000 Camp Weekend also for his untiring efforts. Ed Spends his time between New York and Florida and is still very active in Parkside’s future business. With his wisdom and years of experience we are glad to have him to support us.

David E. Goldstein — Vice President and C.O.O.

David Goldstein joined the staff of Parkside Memorial Chapels in 1994 as a receptionist. He then graduated from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida with an Associate in Science in Funeral Services and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He became a Licensed Funeral Director in 2001. David also is a member of several different organizations such as the Workmens Circle, The Orthodox Union and The Jewish Funeral Directors of America. David has also served in the Knights of Pythias as Chancellor Commander Deputy Grand Chancellor and the Assistant to the Chief Deputy and is still Recording Secretary to one of his Pythian lodges. David enjoys being active in the community as well as meeting with families. David is part of the third generation Goldstein Family and with his innovative idea’s and easy going manner, he is an asset to our firm.

Jordan Goldstein — Licensed Funeral Director

 Jordan has recently joined the family of Parkside Memorial Chapels in 2006. Jordan graduated Nassau Community College Mortuary Science program Cumme Laude with a degree in Mortuary Science. In 2009 Jordan became a Licensed Funeral Director and currently conducts funerals on a regular basis. He is an active member of Queensview Lodge # 433 Knights of Pythias and is the newest addition to our staff.

Donald L. Scardino — Licensed Funeral Director

Donald L. Scardino has been a veteran in Funeral Service for 58 years. Donald graduated from the American Academy McAllister Institute in 1950. Donald had been employed by several different Jewish Funeral Firms and has many years of experience serving Jewish families. Don is known for his calm, well-mannered disposition with families and we’re glad he is a member of our family.  Donald currently resides in Bayside.
